Linda Nolan has said she is pining for her late husband Brian Hudson “more than ever” as she undergoes chemotherapy.
The 64-year-old singer is famed for being a part of the singing group the Nolans in the 1970s alongside sisters Anne, Denise, Maureen, Bernie and Coleen.
Brian had been the Nolans’ tour manager until 1983 and then went on to be his wife’s manager after she left the group.
The pair, who first met in 1979, were married for 26 years until Brain died from liver failure in 2007.
Now, Linda is battling incurable cancer, recently revealing that the terrible disease has “spread to her brain”.
In her new column for the Mirror, Linda spoke about some of the challenges of her illness.
She explained how she is unable to get to sleep anymore without watching the TV.
She also described how at 3am on Monday nigh, she had “woken with terrible stomach cramps on Day Eight after chemo”.

“I was up five times,” she wrote. “It’s the worst side effect I’ve suffered so far.
“I was desperate for a hug, and wanted my late husband, Brian, more than ever,” she lamented.
“He’d have put his arms around me and said: ‘It’ll be OK, we’ll do it together’.
“At that time in the morning daylight feels so far away,” she added sadly.
However, Linda did feel well enough to attend the 80th birthday party of a “dear old friend”.
“It was just so jolly,” she shared. “I watched my sisters dance in the rain (I’m unbalanced enough without braving a slippery floor!) That day, I got all the hugs I needed.”
In 2020, Linda revealed a third recurrence of cancer in her liver, following treatment in 2006 for breast cancer, and later shared that it had spread to her brain.
Linda is not the only Nolan sister to suffer from cancer, as her sister Coleen recently opened up about her own skin cancer scare on Loose Women.
Their sister Anne was also diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time three years ago and is now cancer-free.
Tragically, Bernie Nolan died of breast cancer in 2013 at the age of 52.
