Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster 'very honoured' to serve the Queen as a police officer
PENNY LANCASTER has posted on Instagram about how honoured she is to have served the Queen as a police officer.

Penny Lancaster, 50, has taken to Instagram to explain that she is honoured to have met and served the Queen in time for her 70th anniversary celebrations. The model has been working as a special constable with the City of London police force since earning her badge in April.
She wrote a post to her fans as she shared a photo of the queen alongside two other snaps.
One of the photos shows herself and her husband Sir Rod Stewart meeting the Queen and the other is an explanation of how police officers must swear allegiance to the Crown.
In her caption, the star wrote a brief congratulatory message to Queen Elizabeth.
She said: “A radiant smile from our Queen, as she begins her 70th anniversary celebrations.

“I feel very honoured to have had the privilege of meeting Her Majesty and this year to serve her, in uniform.”
She also included the hashtags: “#platinumjubilee #cityoflondonpolice #specialconstable."
Her fans jumped to her page to share her congratulations and compliment Penny.

Penny is currently married to Faces singer Sir Rod.

The two have been married since 2007, but Rod explained to Life magazine in January that the entire relationship hasn’t been easy.
He revealed that Penny walked out on him several years ago and was left heartbroken.
He sang about the ordeal on his album, Time.
However, the couple, who have been together for 20 years, have since solved their issues.
The 77-year-old said: "I cover Tom Waits' Picture In A Frame.
"Penny and I broke up for two weeks and the song is about that time.
“I asked her for a photo of herself in a frame so that I could see her when I went to bed and when I woke up.”
