‘It winds me up’ Kevin Clifton hits back at Twitter backlash over Strictly results show
KEVIN CLIFTON has taken to his podcast to fume over the backlash that last week's Strictly Come Dancing results show sparked, adding that he gets "wound up" over the contentious issue that is brought up on social media every year.
Strictly: Kevin Clifton hits back at results show backlash
Former Strictly Come Dancing pro Kevin Clifton has responded to the Twitter backlash over the result's show last week. Speaking about Sunday's episode which saw Katie McGlynn and Gorka Marquez exit the competition, the flame-haired star told how he'd received multiple messages from furious viewers, claiming to have "found out" that Sunday's programme is not a live one.
Nobody on the show has ever said that it's live!
Taking to his self-titled podcast, the star raged over the accusations, while insisting that it's no secret that Sunday's results show is pre-recorded.
Speaking about the angry messages he received, Kevin questioned why viewers were so incensed by the results show.
He said: "Why are you so angry about it?
"Strictly is one of the loveliest shows on TV, if not the loveliest.

"And it's so well-intentioned and so well-meaning," he gushed.
Kevin admitted that he had no idea why the results show sparked such heated backlash.
The dancer fumed: "I don't know why anyone would watch it and take to Twitter to go, 'They've changed clothes! They're pretending it's - They're trying to con us all and pretend that it's live on the Sunday because they've changed their clothes. I'm going to complain about it!"
Sighing exasperatedly, Kevin added: "It winds me up and I really shouldn't respond to any of these tweets anymore, but for some reason it just winds me up."
Sitting down to record The Kevin Clifton Show Podcast, the dance star revealed he needed ot get something out of the way.
"I'm going to go on this rant first right because people do this every year and people really get on my nerves," Kevin clarified.
He continued: "They go, 'Why do people patronise us, why do the BBC patronise us and try and pretend that it's a live show when we know it isn't.'"
Responding to the claims, Kevin said: "No no no, stop trying to make out that you have it all figured out, everybody knows that the Sunday show isn't live!

"Nobody on the show has ever said that it's live!" Kevin ranted.
He went on: "Someone had a go at me on Twitter and said, 'Ok, then why did Tess[Daly] and Claudia [Winkleman] change clothes then for the results show?"
Responding, Kevin revealed he was baffled as to why the presenter's wouldn't don different garments for the weekend's two programmes.
"One of them is live, the other is pre-recorded, why on earth would they wear the same outfit for two different shows?" he said.
The dance pro went on to address his own experience filming House Of Games a few months ago.
Kevin explained that he wore a different outfit for every episode because it was a different show on TV everyday.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC One.
