While a fourth remarked: “Oh we have had heavy rain since I woke up and I thought that was bad enough... Hope all them lambs are OK.”

However, before moving to the “bleak landscape” of rural Yorkshire, the shepherdess grew up in Huddersfield to a model mother and an engineer father.
Amanda describes herself as being a slightly “non-descript child, who neither caused trouble nor excelled at anything,” as she spoke to Country & Town House magazine.
Becoming a sheep farmer was definitely not an occupation that was in her blood.
However, after a number of jobs, she ended up finding love with her now-husband Clive.
The couple have now resided at their farm, Ravenseat, for over 20 years, where they farm in a similar manner to how it has been done for hundreds of years before them.
Together Clive and Amanda are parents to nine children. Their eldest, Raven, 18, who is currently at university, Reuben, 16, Miles, 14, Edith, 11, Violet, nine, Sidney, eight, Anna, six, Clemmy, five, and Nancy, three.
Speaking about her parenting to Radio Times, Amanda previously said: "The snowflake generation, they can't do anything.
“They don't know anything about how to look after themselves, or a work ethic, all of that has gone out of the window. It's our fault as parents,” she added.
