Chris Evans reveals he had to HIDE after film 'broke' him
Chris had recently seen the heartwarming 'Blinded by the Lights' film at its premiere and was joined by one of the movie’s writers Sarfraz Manzoor. It is based on journalist Mr Manzoor’s life and his love of Bruce Springsteen songs. It follows him as he grows up in Luton faced with the racial and economic turmoil of the late 1980s.
He takes to writing poetry and soon falls in love with Springsteen’s music which gives him the opportunity to use his own voice in the world.
Speaking on his show, Chris said the film had really “hurt him” by how moving it is.
He told the programme: “There’s a lot to do with the father and son relationship and it totally broke me.
“It finished me off.

“Because he had forgotten about his dreams, he had forgotten that he could dream, had forgotten that he did dream and couldn’t understand why you Sarfraz were dreaming.”
He added: “There’s a lovely scene in the film where you go and secretly watch your dad, Sarfraz, looking in the window of the job centre.
“That is so sad.”
