Seann Walsh: Strictly 2018 star ‘didn’t want to look foolish’ with partner Katya Jones
SEANN WALSH was worried about looking “foolish” on Strictly Come Dancing 2018 alongside partner Katya Jones, it has been revealed in an interview with judge Craig Revel Horwood.
Seann Walsh and Katya Jones were eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2018 on October 28 after losing out in a dance-off with Graeme Swann and Oti Mabuse.
And now the comedian’s concerns have been revealed by judge Craig Revel Horwood, who claimed he always “committed to the dance” he had.
The 32-year-old’s elimination came just weeks after he was caught kissing the married Russian dancer, 29, on his girlfriend’s birthday.
Seann has since stayed silent after his ex Rebecca Humphries revealed the aftermath of the infidelity in an article yesterday.
Seann Walsh didn’t want to look foolish. But ultimately, his natural ability let him down
Meanwhile, this week’s Radio Times sees Craig, 53, speak about every single contestant from the latest run.
Addressing the funny man, the choreographer commented: “He always committed to the dance and put a lot of energy into it.
“He didn’t want to look foolish. But ultimately, his natural ability let him down.”
The panellist added: “He turned a Viennese waltz into a hoedown,” referencing Seann’s final performance.
The duo scored just 20 points for the routine in question, placing them joint bottom of the leaderboard with Dr Ranj Singh and Kate Silverton.
During the chat, Craig went on to chat about the other evictees including Vick Hope and Katie Piper.
Speaking about the latter, he admitted: “When you see who Katie was up against, she was one of the weaker dancers.
“She had some style and did a fantastic job — but not good enough, I’m afraid.”
While Susannah Constantine was described as “the weakest link” by Craig, he said the Blue hitmaker was just unlucky.
“Lee was really determined to get through the competition,” he said.
“I know that he was bitterly disappointed when he was voted out, but he just got the wrong dance on the night.”
Strictly: Tess reveals Seann and Katya faces another dance-off
It comes after Stacey Dooley’s odds of winning was cut to 5-4 by bookmakers Coral after her latest performance.
She is leading the way followed by Joe Sugg (5-2), Faye Tozer (5-1) and Ashley Roberts (6-1).
“Stacey just continues to get better with every week and is the clear favourite to win the series going into Blackpool next weekend,” a spokesperson told Express.co.uk.
The outsiders are currently Kate Silverton on 50-1 and then Graeme, who has been given the same.
