The rockers’s marriage to ex-model Jo ended in 2008 when he cheated on her with a waitress.
But despite their divorce, the couple, who also have a daughter, Leah, 39, remain close.
He married theatre producer Sally, 40, a year later.
The couple have two-year-old twin daughters Alice and Gracie.
They met when he was hanging an exhibition of his paintings at the theatre where Sally was working.
Earlier in the day the guitarist launched an art installation raising the plight of endangered rhinos.
Rhino sculptures, including one he painted will mark tourist hotspots across London including Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden before being auctioned in October.
He revealed that his love of art helped get him through lung cancer.
He was given the all clear in March after surgery last year.
“Painting has really helped and the music helped me therapeutically get through everything and come back on my feet,” he said.
