WW Cruise: First Mediterranean Cruise for ‘healthy’ weight loss launched on MSC Seaview
HOLIDAYS and dieting often don’t go hand in hand. Yet weight loss brand WW, formerly known as Weight Watchers, has teamed up with MSC Cruises to launch a brand new route for healthy holidays.
YES: Four 'weight watchers' on their weight-loss journey
Holiday ready honed beach bodies can quickly revert back after a week spent indulging in holiday cocktails and swapping the gym for days spent on sun loungers. Yet weight loss brand WW, which has switched its name from Weight Watchers, has launched its first ever wellness cruise on board the new MSC Seaview. The MSC Cruises vessel will be crammed full of healthy food and wellness activities as it sets sail around the Mediterranean. Those craving a waist-friendly vacation can book on from July 20 to July 27, for the route lasting eight days and seven nights.
The WW brand’s first ever cruise in Europe will set sail from Barcelona and visit ports in Spain, Italy and France.
Instead of indulging in high-calorie, potentially unhealthy holiday treats, passengers will tuck into healthy freshly prepared meals and snacks to aid weight loss.
They will adhere to WW’s SmartPoints friendly regulations, and cooked by expert chefs.
On board cooking classes and demonstrations will help travellers recreate the meals at home.
Meanwhile, a full on-board gym with Technogym equipment means slimmers can keep up their keep fit regimes.
Timetabled classes include yoga, personal training sessions and spinning.
With these, passengers can clock up additional FitPoints to “spend” on board.
Wellness workshops and on-board entertainment will also feature.
Organisers have stated of the cruise: “WW’s liveable programme means life doesn’t have to stop if you want to get healthy.
“The WW Cruise also offers members the opportunity to meet like-minded people from around the world, allowing them to share their experiences and support each other in their journey.”
A statement about the cruise added: “On board, guests will enjoy an experience inspired by MSC Cruises‘ European heritage, including sophisticated, detailed design, internationally-inspired dining, broadway-style entertainment each evening, and a variety of wellness-focused features for cruisers to discover.
The WW Mediterranean Cruise will set sail from 20th to 27th July, 2019.
Cabin categories include inside cabins, outside cabins, balcony cabins and suites.
