Why try and normalise such an unhealthy life?
There’s even an in-house body confidence coach to help guests feel comfortable to wear their bathing suits and nothing else.
The plus-size holiday was put in the spotlight on ITV1’s Club 18-30 Stone Holiday last night, which followed a group of obese Brits, all weighing above 20 stone, at the location.
On the show, the gang enjoy time spent in the pool and on the white sand beach, as well as doing water sports like paddle boarding.
But despite the lavish surroundings, it seemed it wasn’t all plain sailing at the resort – as one of the show’s stars, Steven, broke down on camera during a group exercise.

Holding up a picture of himself, he said: “This is my photo. It represents every single thing that I hate about myself.’'
''I looked at myself and I thought, I’ve gotten to this size where…I’m a monster.’’
Alice, 32, from Nottingham, who weighs 36 stone, admitted to the group that she feared she wouldn’t see her young twins grow up if her weight continued to creep up, and has already planned her own funeral in case she doesn’t reach 40.
After watching the ITV programme last night, some Twitter users slated the resort, saying it made them “angry” and thought it was “dangerous”.
Steven broke down live on camera about his size
One wrote: “This 18-30 stone holiday programme is not okay. Why try and normalise such an unhealthy life? Making me soooo angry.”
However, others were quick to defend the resort, with one arguing: “It’s not glorying being plus size, it’s about glorying being yourself!!”
Another wrote: “Watching 18-30 stone holiday - if we judged others by the size of their heart rather than waist life would be so much better.”
The Resort was set up two years ago by US owner James King, who is currently looking for investment for a second venue of the same name in the Caribbean, according to the Facebook page.
For a six day stay at the hotel with drinks, meals and gratuity is $16,400 dollars for a group of two to 24 people, wth the rate per person dependent on the group number.
