The stunning scenery is bathed in the mystical glow of starlight, and the bright lights of the bustling city below looks like it could be bubbling lava flowing from nearby volcanoes.
The incredible pictures were taken by photographer Grey Chow, 30, at Indonesia’s Mount Bromo and Malaysia's Mount Kinabalu and east coast.

Grey, from Malaysia, said: “Nightscapes are something you don’t see often in your daily life, especially with the Milky Way.
It’s very exciting to see billions of stars shining vividly in the sky
“I was very impressed the first time I saw it – it’s like a special effect from a movie.

“Being able to capture the real thing is just amazing – I just love to capture the beauty of the night sky.
“It’s a challenging process, but the experience of viewing the night sky at 4,000 metres high is simply breath-taking – it’s very exciting to see billions of stars shining vividly in the sky.”
