Claustrophobics BEWARE: A hotel of mini houses has just opened in America
THINKING of downsizing but want to try before you buy? Head to Tiny Digs.
There are six tiny houses that make up this new hotel
The quirky hotel has just opened in Portland, Oregon, offering guests a choice of just six rooms.
Each of the rooms is its own house but don’t let that fool you in the size department.
The houses are all miniature, giving their guests a taste of small living at its finest.
A kitchen, bathroom, deck, sitting area and queen bed all manage to squeeze into these tiny two-storey dwellings.
Each home is individually-themed, like this Tiny Beach House
The bungalow has its own kitchen, desk, queen sized bed and bathroom
There’s WiFi, a shower and air-conditioning as well as a central entertaining space within the grounds for guests to stretch their legs.
Despite their minuscule size, each house can fit up to four people, from a cost of £111 ($145) per night.
The homes are all built on wheels and each have a different theme to choose from.
If it’s a bungalow you prefer, shack up in your very own Tiny Beach House with a bed of sand and seashells.
The Tiny Barn House offers guests a small taste of a country-style retreat
Is this the most luxurious hotel in the world?
Walk up the stairs of your miniature home or head out to your tiny deck
Or you could take your vacation to the country with the Barn Tiny House, including tractor seat stools and a whisky barrel bathroom vanity.
Other styles include the Bamboo, Cabin, Gypsy Wagon and Modern home.
The radical hotel is the brainchild of a doctor, teacher, operations manager and real estate broker.
They all came together after traveling across the country in RV vans and shared their passion for small houses.
The Tiny Cabin House has its own queen bed upstairs
Construction has taken more than a year but it’s just the beginning for the tiny team.
Their aim is to build a total of 13 individually-themed dwellings for visitors in search of a smaller space.
Oregon is also home to another holiday offering with a twist, on a farm in Willamette Valley.
Called No Regrets, the quirky farm offers guests yoga in the fields with goats roaming around them.
