As the sun went down behind the iconic skyline of San Francisco, a mysterious-looking fog crept over the city.
Lens-loving San Francisco resident Matt Walker, 49, took a ride in a helicopter to capture the stunning view.
He said: "I was really nervous flying because there were no doors at all and just a seatbelt holding me in!

"It was completely worth it though - I've never dreamed of taking such amazing photos."
The strikingly ominous clouds were caused by a hurricane that had broken up further out to sea.
Matt, who has been a Bay Area local his whole life, said it was not a regular occurrence.
Photographer Matt Walker, 49, said: "I truly got lucky with this!"
He continued: "It was beyond surreal to be in the helicopter over the city with such rare conditions.
"I truly got lucky with this!"
The skyscrapers appearing just above the fog-line make for an postcard-worthy photo opportunity.
