The summer holidays are here and for many that means jetting off on a sun-soaked holiday.

Maybe you're planning on heading to the beaches of Spain or Greece this summer, or perhaps you're even thinking of swanning off further afield to the sunny climes of places like the Caribbean or Australia.

But did you know that you could experience a taste of paradise right here in the UK? That's right, you could enjoy your very own slice of the Mediterranean without ever setting foot on a plane this summer with a staycation.

People on social media have been going wild over a viral video showing a stunning seafront location with winding stone steps and grassy verges that look out onto gorgeous blue waters.

The video looks like it's plucked from someone's travels to the Greek island of Santorini, but it was actually taken on the shores of Cornwall.

The clip, posted by a woman named Isha, depicts the gorgeous Minack Theatre, which is an open-air theatre located in Porthcurno in Cornwall, around four miles from Land's End.

Isha described the location as one of "the UK's hidden gems", and it's easy to see why. The Minack Theatre boasts dramatic views of the cliffs and the sea below, while the location itself is stunning too - with beautifully designed stone steps winding down the cliff to the stage below and patches of grass lining the seating area.

What's more, the Minack Theatre is still fully operational and hosts a season of plays and musicals from March to November, giving you a chance to experience this gorgeous venue in all its glory.

Commenters on the video were blown away by the location, with many saying they were going to "move to Cornwall" just to be closer to the stunning vista.

One person said: "I live in the UK but that's my utopia." While anotheradded: "It's giving Santorini."

A third also stated: "Big yes to this! I've noted this place down to visit on my adventures."

Tripadvisor also boasts glowing reviews for the theatre, with over 4,000 five-star reviews from visitors who described the location as "breathtaking".

One recent tourist said: "The Minack can almost take your breath away as you first see this magnificent outdoor theatre in the Cornish sunshine. Tickets £10 online in advance with free parking. Worth every single penny. And dog friendly for daytime visits. First class."

As another happy customer posted: "A beautiful and magical place. The experience is awesome. The views are breathtaking and the plants are spectacular."
