When it comes to travelling you want to wear something comfortable, right? If you're like us and opt for something loose and stretchable then you'd think shorts.

While you may think this is great for letting your skin breathe and being able to stretch around you may want to think again.

A flight attendant from TUI has issued a warning to passengers about wearing shorts on flights. The summer is about to begin across the country, TUI, in competition with easyJet, Jet2, and Ryanair, is set to greet waves of British holidaymakers on their flights this week.

However, before you embark on your upcoming vacation, one TUI cabin crew member has disclosed some inside information you ought to know.

This includes three frequent errors made by passengers. Mrs Miva, currently a member of TUI's cabin crew, outlined "three things you should never do on a plane". The first of these rules stipulates that travellers should not "wear shorts or a skirt".

In her explanation, Mrs Miva said: "You never know how clean it is where you're going to sit. Also it can get very cold."

Furthermore, Mrs Miva warned passengers against excessive drinking on a flight, as becoming too inebriated could lead to ejection from the crew for safety reasons, reports Birmingham Live.

Finally, she highlighted the mistake of not bringing a water bottle on board, which can result in dehydration and adversely affect the early days of your trip.

Expanding on this point, she said: "The dry air and low humidity on the plane can lead to increased fluid loss and dehydration."

Responding to a TUI employee's useful tip, shared on TikTok about the chilly temperatures passengers can experience on flights, one user commented: "I wore short shorts once and I got so cold."

Echoing the sentiment, another added: "Yes it's so cold for me on the airplane! " A third chimed in with a practical solution: "Darn it. Skirt goes in suitcase, overalls it is!"
