Held in mid-August each year, this event draws large crowds who come to drink the famous water from the well at the cathedral, believed to carry special blessings.

How to get to Toledo?

While there are no direct flights to Toledo the best bet is to fly to Madrid and go from there. 

There are several airlines which fly to the city including Air Europa, British Airways, Iberia, Iberia Express and Ryanair.

Flights start from £67 with Omio. From the airport, you can then take the Asla bus for £6 from Madrid, Estación de Plaza Elíptica to  Toledo, Estación de Autobuses which will take around 60 minutes.
