With its breathtaking beaches and crystal-clear waters, it’s no wonder that this small island has received such high praise.

Visitors to Colonsay can enjoy an array of stunning beaches, each with its own unique charm. Kiloran Bay, perhaps the most famous of them all, features a vast expanse of golden sand backed by rolling dunes and lush greenery.

A second from Glasgow, Scotland, added: "The beach by day was beautiful, and very tranquil, but the sunset over Jura was just stunning. I missed the photo op, talking to a local, but this should be on everyone's 'to do' list."

A third chimed in: " Probably the most beautiful beach I have seen in Scotland. Highly recommended especially when it is low tide and the golden sand goes on forever!"
