However, the Mediterranean country isn’t the top destination for British expats according to data from MoveHub.
So where do most British expats live?
Australia has the highest number of British expats, according to the data, with over 1.2 million Brits living Down Under. Expats are attracted by higher wages and sunny weather.
The USA was the second most popular option for British expats with over 716,000 British people living there.
While Canada took third place on the list, Spain was the most popular destination for expats in Europe.

More than 300,000 British people live in Spain as expats, according to the data. Britons without a visa can stay in Spain for 90 out of every 180 days since Brexit.

Ireland was the next most popular European option while France was also a top choice for Brits looking to settle in Europe.
