Camping holidays: Britons warned 'barbecues are a big no' ahead of weekend sunshine
CAMPING holidays are in full swing across the UK and with another weekend of glorious sunshine ahead an expert has shared their top tips for camping in National Parks.
UK weather: Met Office forecasts spike in temperatures
National Parks across the UK have been buzzing with visitors since domestic travel resumed. Thanks to a sudden burst of sunshine, vast swathes of the UK are set to be bathed in toasty temperatures throughout the coming weekend.
London and Manchester are set to see highs of around 23 degrees celsius on Saturday alone, meanwhile, up in the North, Newcastle is expecting a sunny high of 19 and in Devon this figure is predicted to reach 20 degrees.
The UK's national parks span Peak District, Lake District, Snowdonia, Dartmoor, Pembrokeshire Coast, North York Moors, Yorkshire Dales, Exmoor, Northumberland, Brecon Beacons, The Broads, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs, Cairngorms, the New Forest and South Down.
While these scenic locations are the ideal place to pitch a tent, one expert has warned certain summer weather behaviour is a "big no" when it comes to camping in these locations.
Paul Stewart, Managing Director at My Baggage said: “The thought of being able to get out and about and enjoy the stunning scenery the UK has to offer is certainly keeping us all going right now.

“When you do head to the great outdoors and our national parks, it is important to give them and the local communities within them, the respect they deserve.
"If anyone is visiting or moving to the UK from abroad, then this is must-know information."
Though sizzling a few burgers on the barbecue might be your typical way to unwind on a sweltering day, Mr Stewart has warned this may not be the best idea.
"Barbecues are a big no," he said.
Instead, holidaymakers should check with their campsite for designated areas where barbecues are acceptable. Often, on walks in National Parks, these are not available.

Similarly, fires are also not a good idea unless in a designated area where someone is always present.
"Do not light a fire during your day out," he advised.
"Even if they’re kept under control, they cause damage."
Whether you're heading away from your campsite to hike, or simply driving to a national park for a day out, Mr Stewart also advises making sure you have the essentials.
"Make sure you dress the part when heading for a day out at a national park," he said.
"Weather conditions can change quickly and remember the higher you get, the cooler it can get too.
"Think about footwear as well.
"Walking boots or sturdy trainers are a much option than sandals and sliders."
Another top tip is to pack a traditional paper map, no matter how advanced your mobile phone is.
"Maps may seem a little outdated now, but when you can’t get a Wi-Fi signal they’re your best hope if you get lost," he said.
In a worst-case scenario, holidaymakers are advised to "keep a lookout for signs too if you stray off footpaths."
While packing snacks and beverages for a camping trip or day out is a must, Mr Steward says holidaymakers must be sure to take home everything they brought to the site.
He explained: "If there are no bins, bag up your rubbish and take it home.
"Take home biodegradable waste like banana skins too."
