Google Maps Street View: There is something VERY wrong with this man - can you see it?
GOOGLE Maps street view gives users an incredible insight into what areas of the world look like from the ease and comfort and their own device. Sometimes, however, it also captures people - and they look very strange indeed.
Google Maps Street View has captured a stunning shot of scenery in West Virginia, USA. The photo shows top scenic attraction Seneca Rocks in Monongahela National Forest. Lush green scenery can be seen from an enviable high-up view - but not all is right with the photo. Sitting astride a section of rock is a man wearing shorts, a T-shirt and a baseball hat.
Google Maps Street View: Creepy photo captures very weird-looking man - what happened?
But there’s something very wrong with this young man if the Google user looks closely.
His face is partially obscured by his hands which he holds in front of him. But behind his fingers it’s clear his face is out of the ordinary.
Instead of two eyes next to each other, only one full eye can be seen, just below the rim of his baseball hat.
On closer inspection, a second can be spotted - but it is situated below the larger eye rather than next to it.
To make it even more disturbing, the way he is holding his hands makes it look as though his fingers are poking his eyes.
Bafflingly, no other facial features can be seen and his face seems oddly long and thin.
It is undeniably a very unusual image but there is clearly something amiss with the image.
If the Street View user looks at the man’s T-shirt, it has the widely-recognised Google logo on it.
However, the word Google only has one ‘o’ in it and that letter to itself looks a little off.
Obviously, there is a rational explanation to the bizarre photo - the image is the result of a glitch.
The photography splicing has caused the problem due to the way the images form.
Man caught up in hilarious Google maps blunder
When taking the photo, the 360-degree cameras shoot multiple pictures to create the seamless image.
However, moving objects often ruin the scene as they shift when the photos are taken.
It is most likely the man moved when the images were taken, resulting in the strange photo.
This is far from the first time such a glitch has been captured by Google Maps.
On another occasion, a man can be seen walking along a large paved area alongside numerous others. He is wearing jeans, trainers and a grey polo neck T-shirt - so far, so normal. However, in his left arm, at first glance, he appears to be holding a small child in a blue T-shirt.
But if viewers look more closely there is something very strange indeed about the shot.
The baby seems to have the hair growth of a middle-aged man - greying with a bald patch - but why?
