WWE star John Cena reveals he'd like to fight Conor McGregor
Heyman is the best manager in WWE today thanks to his excellent work with Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and UFC star CM Punk.
Cena and the ECW legend had a heated rivalry in 2004 as well as the early 2010s but were never booked as allies on WWE TV even though they have a great relationship backstage.
During a Q&A at MegaCon, The Champ stated that the former Smackdown General Manager’s magic works best with wrestlers who are struggling to perform on the mic and can’t sell their character to the crowd.
Nevertheless, the 16-time world champion admitted that he has relied on Heyman many times for insight and advice behind the curtain.
Paul would be wasted with me and me likewise with Paul
The ex-WWE Champion said: “Paul is an extremely valuable asset because of his accomplishments.
“I have relied on Paul a lot for opinions and insight behind the curtain.
“I think Paul is best for those who have trouble articulating opinions when they have [a microphone] in their hand.
“I enjoy being able to relate to all of you and I enjoy the negative response and the positive response that comes from being so honest after 15 years of us being together as friends, partners, family whatever you want to call it.
“Paul would be wasted with me and me likewise with Paul.
“Paul is a great vehicle for someone who can’t describe themselves but he is a wealth of knowledge and insight behind the curtain that I regularly lean on.”
Heyman now only appears with Lesnar and their return date is yet unknown.
Rumours suggest they might return for SummerSlam.
