WWE news: Chris Jericho reveals if he will ever return to Vince McMahon's promotion
CHRIS JERICHO isn’t ruling out the possibility of returning to WWE after his contract at All Elite Wrestling comes to an end.
Jericho shocked the world of professional wrestling when he joined AEW and signed a lucrative three-year deal with billionaire Tony Khan’s promotion.
Y2J is determined to make a success out of the upstart company but isn’t shutting the door on a possible comeback to WWE.
The six-time world champion said that he could return to Vince McMahon’s ring or be associated with the promotion in some capacity after three years.
But until then the first ever WWE Undisputed Champion remains focused and loyal to AEW.
Well maybe in three years I might go there or be associated with them or whatever
Jericho told Chris Van Vliet: “Well maybe in three years I might go there or be associated with them or whatever.
“But for the next three years, it’s AEW.
“That’s where I’m signed and that’s the contract that I have.”
Jericho didn’t seem very keen to join any other wrestling promotions in North America when he took some time off from WWE last year.
However, during his short stint at New Japan Pro-Wrestling and his guest appearance at the independent supershow All In he found out that a wrestler could make a very good living outside of WWE.
The King of the World worked with the likes of Kenny Omega as well as Matt and Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks and saw how well they were doing in wrestling outside of McMahon’s company.
Jericho added: “It’s one of those things I never would have guessed it.
“But as the past year progressed going from New Japan to All In to the cruise and kinda seeing how life was on the other side.
“I realised like The Bucks and like Kenny and these guys, you can make a good living outside of WWE.
“Then when you have a billionaire getting involved suddenly I get the biggest offer of my career by far you know, I couldn’t say no.”
