Nate Diaz's fight plans revealed: He wants to fight by THIS date
NATE DIAZ is keen to fight this summer, it has been claimed.
The youngest Diaz brother hasn't set foot inside the Octagon since losing to Conor McGregor at UFC 202, a defeat he vehemently contested.
A staggering 21 months have passed since that night at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena, and Diaz has shown little sign of returning to the cage anytime soon.
The UFC brass were keen on pitting the Stockton native against former welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre at UFC 227.
Diaz emphatically shut down talk of fighting his brother's former opponent, telling MMA Junkie: “No, I’m not fighting that fight.”
His refusal to fight St-Pierre led many to ask a question which has been on MMA fans' minds for nearly two years: Does Diaz want to fight again?
According to MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani, the Ultimate Fighter season five winner is keen to lace up his gloves again and wants to fight before autumn comes around.
“As for Diaz, sources say he would still like to fight by the end of the summer, though he isn’t actively pursuing a particular fight,” Helwani recently wrote.

Over the last few months, UFC president Dana White has accused Diaz - and his brother Nick - of turning down multiple fight offers.
During a recent appearance on the UFC Unfiltered Podcast, White said: “We’ve been offering Nate Diaz fights for however long.
“In his contract - and Nick Diaz’s - I have to give them three fights a year. Per the contract, I need to give them three fights a year.
“If I fail to give them three fights a year, I have to pay them.
“I have honoured my contract with those guys, they keep turning down the fights, which extends the contracts.
“But, we’re working right now to try put together a Georges St-Pierre versus Nate Diaz fight.”
