Till’s next outing inside the Octagon will see him headline UFC Liverpool, which takes place at The Echo Arena on May 27.
The Liverpool native hasn’t been assigned an opponent yet, and Edwards has thrown his name into the ring to fight ‘The Gorilla’.
Speaking after his stoppage victory over Peter Sobotta at UFC Fight Night 127 in London, Edwards said: "Darren Till, heard you want to fight.
"In Liverpool, let’s go. Me and you, Liverpool versus Birmingham, let’s go. All day, easy work.
"I’m the best fucking welterweight in the U.K., soon to be in the world. End of. Bye!"
The chances of Edwards having his wish of facing Till being granted are slim as the Liverpudlian has his sights set on a fight with Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson.
“It’s going to be Wonderboy,” Till said when asked who he’d like to face in his hometown.
“I’m gonna take someone’s chin off.”
