The UFC are eager to have Conor McGregor fight the winner of Tony Ferguson vs Khabib Nurmagomedov, who will compete for the Irishman's title at UFC 223 on April 7.
"All the pub right now is Mayweather under MMA rules but I can’t see Mayweather agreeing to that, even though it’s huge money," MMA Fighting’s Dave Meltzer said in his subscription-only newsletter.

McGregor, 29, hasn't set foot inside the Octagon since his historic UFC 205 victory over Eddie Alvarez, a triumph which saw him become the first fighter in the promotion's history to hold two titles simultaneously.

Rising UFC welterweight Darren Till has claimed he isn't surprised by people comparing himself to McGregor.
However, he reckons he’s a better fighter than ‘The Notorious’.
