The UFC’s lightweight champion took on Mayweather last August in a multi-million-pound boxing match, which was aptly dubbed ‘The Money Fight’.
McGregor’s professional boxing debut was an unsuccessful one as he suffered a tenth-round TKO loss to the Olympian, who promptly went back into retirement.
Talk of the pair rematching one another has raged on since that night in Las Vegas, mainly due to the success McGregor had in the early rounds of the much-maligned contest.
