Conor McGregor no longer interested in fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr
Conor McGregor has revealed he’s no longer pursuing a mixed martial arts fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
“I am happy for Floyd and his recent announcement that he is out of these current fight negotiations,” McGregor wrote on Instagram.
“It is the reason I never seeked the rematch in the first place. I was happy for him in retirement. My game is a very unforgiving one. It is not like other games.
“I understand completely him staying retired. I will now carry on in my negotiations and see where it goes.
"Have a great retirement Junior. Now come here and give your old man a hug for old times sake. I'm proud of you son.
“Your’s truly, Senior.”

Conor McGregor’s coach talks up Nate Diaz trilogy fight
John Kavanagh believes the long-awaited trilogy fight between McGregor and Nate Diaz could come to fruition in December, so long as the latter returns to the Octagon in the near future.
“I think Nate should get one in in the meantime,” Kavanagh told The Mac Life. “Him and Woodley, I hear there are rumours of that or him against a good lightweight.
“If the MMA gods smile, it would be a victory for [Diaz], Conor fights the winner of [Nurmagomedov/Ferguson] and then you’ve got this amazing super fight for new year’s eve.”

UFC featherweight Artem Lobov is adamant McGregor still has a burning desire to return to fight in MMA.
“There’s no question about it; Conor wants to fight,” Lobov told Severe MMA. “He is a fighter.
