Conor McGregor's coach unsure of return date
Straight Blast Gym Ireland head coach John Kavanagh has admitted he doesn't know when Conor McGregor will return to the Octagon.
"There’s so much happening in the division and things changing around and what have you (that) I can’t say who (and) I can’t say when (he’ll be back)," the Kavanagh said during a Facebook live interview to promote Wimp 2 Warrior.
"As people who follow him on social media will see, he’s back, very motivated, training a lot. He’s in the gym every day.
“The plan seems to be forming and getting more exact every day that (he’ll be) back in the UFC this year.
“When and against who, I would be just guessing.”

UFC president Dana White has once again reiterated his stance that McGregor can no longer hold the lightweight division to ransom.
“We can’t tie up the title two years, no matter how much I love the kid,” White said of McGregor.
“We’ll let Tony Ferguson and Khabib fight for the title and then Conor obviously will be the first one to come back and get a crack at either one of them.”

Interim lightweight king Tony Ferguson has hit out at White for still calling McGregor the UFC lightweight champion when he's publicly said the 'real title' will be on the line in UFC 223's main event.
“Yeah, it bothers me. It bothers the sh*t out of me, dude,” Ferguson said during an appearance on The MMA Hour.

“Straight up. I’m the f*cking champ and we don’t know if we’re fighting for the real belt or not. What the f*ck is that?
“Dana White is telling us one thing on one [side] of the curtain and on the other side he’s saying, ‘No, Conor McGregor is the champion. Go and do your homework.’
“And I love Dana, man, but I’m like, ‘What the f*ck, dude? Am I not the champ or am I the champ? Do you want to hype me up or do you not want to hype me up for this fight?’”
