Conor McGregor could be relieved of the lightweight title
UFC president Dana White has once again suggested that he may strip Conor McGregor of the lightweight title.
“If (McGregor) comes back in September, that’s almost two years (since his last MMA fight),” White said after UFC Fight Night 124 in St-Louis.
“That can’t happen. It’s not fair to everybody else.”

Conor McGregor to be given an immediate title shot if stripped of the lightweight crown
White has revealed that McGregor would be given an immediate shot at reclaiming the 155lbs title if the UFC brass do decide to strip him.
“Love Conor, respect Conor, love everything that he’s done for this company. Everybody knows that. I say it all the time,” White said when discussing the possibility of relieving McGregor of his third UFC title.
“(But) the belt would have to move on. You do Khabib (Nurmagomedov) vs. Tony (Ferguson); we’re working on that fight now. If and when Conor comes back, he would get the first crack at the title.”

Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov won’t go the distance
Brazilian jiu-jitsu coach John Danaher reckons a fight between the UFC's lightweight champion and Nurmagomedov wouldn’t see the final buzzer.
“With regards to Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov, the feeling one gets if they did fight – it would be a complete shutout in one of two directions,” Danaher said during an appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast.
John Danaher doesn't foresee Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov going the distance
“It’s either like a man beating up a child on the ground, or it’s just a flush knockout. “The guy unable to cover distance properly and walking into a left hand and just being catastrophically KO’d.”
“There’s potential for it to go on both directions, (but) that’s a fight I don’t think goes the distance. It’s one way or the other.”
