Conor McGregor looks on before his UFC 194 bout with Jose Aldo
The UFC's lightweight champion has been linked with a mega-money bout against St-Pierre ever since the Canadian penned a new four-fight deal with the promotion in February.
St-Pierre has downplayed suggestions of him taking on McGregor on numerous occasions, recently saying: “Everything is possible but everybody is targeting Conor McGregor because (of) the money.
“He’s the money fight. But I don’t challenge guys that compete in lower weight class divisions. For me, I don’t do that. I’m going up to fight Michael Bisping now. I’m looking up.
“He’s an amazing fighter, it would be an amazing honour, but I don’t know. I don’t know what to say.
"If the fans want it and he wants it maybe it will happen but right now, I’m focused on Bisping."
Despite 'GSP' publicly ruling out calling out McGregor, talk of the pair doing battle with one another refuses to go away.
St-Pierre's future in mixed martial arts is currently up in the air due to an ongoing bout of Colitis, which played a huge role in him vacating the middleweight title earlier this month.
Should St-Pierre decide to fight again, it won't be against McGregor.

"He ain't fighting Conor McGregor," UFC president Dana White told ESPN.
"If he wants to come back, [UFC welterweight champion] Tyron Woodley or [middleweight champion] Robert Whittaker is waiting for him.
"They're both waiting, if Georges wants to come back."
White may not like the idea of McGregor vs St-Pierre, but the same can't be said of the latter's head coach, Firas Zahabi.

Dana White says there's no chance Georges St-Pierre will fight Conor McGregor
"I don’t think that’s crazy. I’ve been asking for that fight for over a year and a half now," Zahabi told Express Sport.
"I don’t think it’s a crazy fight. I think it’s a brilliant fight. I think Conor McGregor is a two-belt champion, two division champ
"He’s got the touch of death in his hands. He knows what he’s doing, he’s highly intelligent, highly captivated, he’s extremely dangerous. And I don’t think he fears anybody.
"So I think him and Georges would be a phenomenal fight.”
