Nate Diaz drops bombshell: The UFC offered me a title fight in any weight class
NATE DIAZ has claimed the UFC brass went to extreme lengths to get him back inside the Octagon.

The Ultimate Fighter season five winner hasn’t set foot inside the Octagon since suffering a majority-decision loss to Conor McGregor, a defeat he vehemently contested.
Thirty-two-year-old Diaz was offered an interim lightweight title fight with the belt's current holder, Tony Ferguson, in May.
The youngest Diaz brother accepted the fight offer but pulled a U-turn on his decision as he felt the UFC brass were pressuring him into doing McGregor's 'dirty work.'
Last month, UFC president Dana White claimed the Stockton native has been offered multiple fights during his hiatus from the cage but has turned them all down.
"Nate Diaz turned down a fight with everybody on the roster," he said. "We’ve been offering him fights for (a long time). When was the last time he fought? A year-and-a-half-ago?

"For a year-and-a-half, we’ve been offering him fights. As a promoter, we have to offer him fights. Because we’re supposed to give him three fights a year.
"So we continuously offer him fights and he continuously turns them down."

Diaz touched on White’s comments yesterday evening and claimed that the UFC have offered a title shot in whatever weight class he wants.
“Ufc offered me title fight in any weight class Im kool [sic] though I'll givem a shot when they do something good,” he tweeted.

Diaz, 19-11, has yet to express a desire to return to the UFC, much to the frustration of his legion of fans, who believe he's waiting for a trilogy fight with McGregor.
