Conor McGregor vs Pacquiao: Manny’s promoter talks up fight, slams UFC star
CONOR MCGREGOR would suffer an emphatic defeat to Manny Pacquiao if the pair ever boxed each other, according to the Filipino's promoter Bob Arum.
Conor McGregor was called out by Manny Pacquiao last month
Last month, McGregor found himself on the receiving end of a shock call out from the former eight-weight world champion.
Pacquiao revealed his desire to face McGregor in posts on his Twitter and Instagram accounts, which bizarrely featured a picture of UFC’s lightweight champion relaxing on a chair.
The accompanying captions read: “Happy Thanksgiving @TheNotoriousMMA Stay fit my friend. #realboxingmatch #2018.”
Pacquiao’s call out of McGregor, who entered the boxing world in August to take on Floyd Mayweather Jr, perplexed fight fans across the world.
It also left many of them wondering who would win a bout between the pair, who have both suffered losses to Mayweather.
Arum, as well as many others, believes a fight with McGregor would be a walk in the park for Pacquiao.

He doesn't know how to spell fight
"If we equate boxing with fighting -- because I'm not talking about his ability as an MMA participant because he has been very good with that -- Conor McGregor can't spell fight," he said during an appearance on CBS Sports’ In This Corner.
"Mayweather carried him before he took him out. With Manny, it wouldn't be a contest, it would be a money grab. Conor McGregor is not a boxer and does not know how to box. His stance is a stance of an MMA fighter who has to protect against kicks and takedowns. He is not competitive with any fighter no matter how old that fighter is.
Manny Pacquiao's call out of Manny Pacquiao
"He doesn't know how to spell fight. He's a great, great MMA artist. This is no knock on him. He's a great attraction. He cannot spell fight.”
Despite the vast amount of money which could be generated from a fight between McGregor and Pacquiao, Arum isn’t keen on matching his client up against the UFC’s poster boy.
Bob Arum has hit out at Conor McGregor
However, should Pacquiao express an interest in fighting ‘The Notorious’, he’s more than willing to get the ball rolling.
"The answer is no, I wouldn't particularly look forward to doing a fight featuring McGregor and Pacquiao,” he added. “If Manny asked me to, I would.”
Manny Pacquiao looks on during his bout with Jeff Horn
Pacquiao's last outing in the ring saw him suffer a unanimous decision loss to Jeff Horn in Brisbane, Australia.
Defeat to Horn saw 'Pacman' relinquish the WBO welterweight title he claimed from Jessie Vargas in November 2016.
