Conor McGregor has hinted a third fight with Nate Diaz is in the works. The fan favourites, 31 and 35 respectively, took part in two of the most memorable fights in UFC history in 2016.
Diaz claimed victory in the rival's first meeting in the main event of UFC 196, scoring a stunning a second-round submission on 11 days' notice.
McGregor avenged his first loss inside the Octagon a few months later in the main event of UFC 202, where he edged a closely-fought five-round war via majority decision.
Ever since their epic rematch, which many believe Diaz edged, UFC fans across the globe have been clamouring for the duo to have a trilogy fight.
And on Saturday night, McGregor suggested a third encounter with the youngest Diaz brother is in the works.

McGregor's hint came in the form of an Instagram reply to a comment Diaz left on Dana White's Instagram page.
Upon seeing White upload a picture of McGregor's pre-UFC 249 comments, Diaz replied: "Shut ur b***h a** up."
Diaz's comment soon came to to the attention of 'Mystic Mac', who issued a stern reply to the Stockton native.
He wrote: "@Nate Diaz. Shut your eyelid and sign the contract."

McGregor, 22-4, entertained the prospect of a rubber match with Diaz in January, saying: "Let’s go, Nathan. Let’s go, brother. Number three. It’s always here. So we’re right here, Nathan.”
McGregor made his long-awaited return to the Octagon in January in the main event of UFC 246, where he locked horns with Donald Cerrone.
The Irishman's comeback fight didn't last long, though, as he decimated Cerrone in 40 seconds to claim his first victory in over three years.
'The Notorious' is eager to return to his active ways in 2020, setting his sights on two more outings.

And according to UFC president Dana White, the former featherweight and lightweight champion is ready to return to action.
"Conor’s been ready to fight for a while," White said during an appearance on the Jim Rome Show. "He’s in shape. He’s ready to go."
“First of all, ‘Fight Island’ is going to be very important in any of these fights that are happening with people from outside the country.
"It kills me to do a fight with Conor without fans. Kills me. This guy’s doing almost $20million gates.”
