McGregor vs Cowboy: Conor McGregor sends message to Masvidal and Usman on eve of UFC 246
Conor McGregor returns to the Octagon at UFC 246.
Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone faced off for the final time before their eagerly-anticipated showdown this weekend on Friday night, but the Irishman surprisingly didn't use the face off to get into his opponent's head. The pair's welterweight clash will serve as the main event for UFC 246, which takes place at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena early on Sunday morning.
The build-up to the pair's long-awaited clash - which has been over four years in the making - has been a far cry to the prelude to McGregor's grudge match with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Both men have been nothing but cordial with one another, complementing each other on social media and in their pre-fight interviews.
The official UFC 246 pre-fight press conference was no different, with the pair hailing the other's achievements inside the Octagon.
That cordialness continued in the ceremonial weigh-ins, with the fan favourites showing immense respect a little over 24 hours before they'll try to take each other's heads off.

McGregor, instead, used the weigh-ins to send a message to BMF and UFC welterweight titleholders Jorge Masvidal and Kamaru Usman, the former of whom took in the ceremonial scale tipping in person.
After having his staredown with Cerrone, McGregor was asked by UFC commentator Joe Rogan why his comeback fight is taking place at 170lbs.
"How good do I look at 170?" Ireland's first UFC champion told Rogan and his legion of fans in attendance at the Park Theater. "I feel real good at this weight.
"I'm coming for all of them in this division. It begins with Donald. Let's go, I'm excited."
