Conor McGregor and Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone’s welterweight clash is just around the corner. The Irishman has fought just twice in this weight division, losing to Nate Diaz in 2016 before winning the rematch.
This will be Cowboy's 12th bout at welterweight, with UFC boss Dana White describing the main event as “interesting on a lot of different levels”.
White added: “Obviously Conor has been out for a while. Conor has fought twice at 170lbs - he's got a win and a loss.
“Cowboy Cerrone is almost one of those guys that needs something big to fight for.
“It's more than just the money and the type of things that come along with it. This is the type of fight that Cowboy Cerrone is an absolute spoiler in.
