Conor McGregor is a little over a month away from making his return to the UFC.
UFC: Dana White praises Covington for fighting with broken jaw
Conor McGregor has admitted he's got his eye on the winner of UFC 245's main event. UFC 245 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas early on Sunday morning.
The final pay-per-view card of the year is headlined by the eagerly-anticipated welterweight title grudge match between defending champion Kamaru Usman and public enemy No.1 Colby Covington.
And a little month ahead of his own return to the Octagon, in which he'll take on Donald Cerrone in a welterweight showdown at UFC 246, McGregor has revealed he's intrigued by the prospect of fighting the winner of Usman vs Covington.
"Good luck to our athletes competing tonight at UFC 245," tweeted the former two-division champion.
"I’ve a keen interest in this event. From potential future opponents, to potential future clients, to finally just from a fan standpoint.

Should Covington get successfully dethrone Usman and set his sights on a showdown with McGregor, the build-up to their potential meeting would no doubt be filled with trash talk.
In fact, Covington has already mocked the Irishman's comeback fight with Cerrone.
During an interview with Helen Yee, Covington said: “You know, I look at broke back Cowboy, a guy who is way over the hill, versus the Irish little leprechaun Conor McGregor who is cashed out in his own right.
