Nate Diaz goes after The Rock after demanding Jorge Masvidal rematch: He can get it too
Nate Diaz had some choice words for The Rock after losing his BMF title fight with Jorge Masvidal.
Nate Diaz called out The Rock a matter of hours after losing to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244.
The youngest Diaz brother suffered a third-round TKO loss to the American Top Team ace in the main event of the Madison Square Garden card.
Cuts above and below his right eye prompted the ringside doctor to call a halt to the proceedings, much to the annoyance of all the fans in attendance at MSG.
Defeat to Masvidal saw Diaz miss out on the 'Baddest Motherf****r in the Game' belt, which was wrapped around 'Gamebred's' waist by The Rock.
He can get his a** whipped too, straight up
Diaz wasn't happy with the how the former WWE star - real name Dwyane Johnson - smiled as he gave Masvidal the BMF title.
And he let rip at the Hollywood actor in the post-fight press conference, albeit in a jokey manner.
"I'm west side, f**k him," Diaz said of Johnson when reflecting on his latest loss. "I'm on the west coast side.
"Mike Tyson should've been here anyway He's the baddest man on the planet, right? He should've been the one here.
“I’m over here hurting on The Rock, huh? You guys caught me at a bad time, you know what I'm saying? The Rock’s cool, I like Ballers.
"But he just picked the wrong side, he picked another side. So he can get it too. He can get his a** whipped too, straight up. With all due respect, he can get it, too”
Diaz's funny call out of The Rock came after he demanded a rematch with Masvidal, who is a sure-fire contender to win the Fighter of the Year award after scoring three huge wins in the space of seven months.
During the presser, he said: "Right now, the rematch is the only thing I'm interested in."
