Israel Adesanya claimed the undisputed middleweight title with a flawless performance against Robert Whittaker at UFC 243.
Conor McGregor has hailed Israel Adesanya's performance in his championship-winning victory over Robert Whittaker early on Sunday morning.
Adesanya ripped the undisputed middleweight title from Whittaker's clutches with an emphatic second-round TKO victory in the main event of UFC 243 in Melbourne, Australia.
The Nigerian-born New Zealander's stunning victory blew away the entire mixed martial arts world, who can no longer question the former Glory Kickboxing star's legitimacy.
McGregor was amongst those impressed by Adesanya's title-clinching victory and shared his thoughts on the win on his Instagram story.

Alongside a picture of Adesanya landing the huge counter left hook that dropped Whittaker in the second round, McGregor wrote: "Excellent victory."
'The Notorious' further praised Adesanya in another story update, which featured a clip of him watching The Last Stylebender's post-fight celebrations.
McGregor was heard saying: "Oh, oh, oh. Oh yes. Oh yes, Izzy, Oh yes."
Adesanya was thoroughly pleased with his flawless victory over 'The Reaper' but believes he should've finished the contest in the first.
“I held my fist up,” he said when recalling his first knockdown of Whittaker. “That’s stupid.
"I should have punched him until the referee jumped on him. I guess the referee saved him on that one.”
The 30-year-old believes taking out Whittaker has well and truly silenced his critics saying: “I just showed you guys I can take it and give it as well.
“Apparently, because I’ve got no knockout power, and I’ve got pillow hands. Boo-oo.”
