UFC 243 UK start time: What times does Whittaker vs Adesanya start?
UFC 243 takes place tonight with Robert Whittaker vs Israel Adesanya headlining the card - but what time does the event start in the UK?
UFC 243: Dramatic teaser for Whittaker vs Adesanya bout
The UFC jets to the other side of the world as Robert Whittaker puts his middleweight title on the line against Isreal Adesanya at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
Officially, this will be Whittaker’s first title defence.
The Australian defeated Yoel Romero in June 2018 as the middleweight champion, but Romero failed to make weight prior to the bout, so it was not technically an official title fight.
It will also mark Whittaker’s first fight in 484 days after he was forced to pull of out the clash against Kelvin Gastelum in February due to injury.
Adesanya, though, has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the UFC, winning six fights since signing on in early 2018.
Both Adesanya and Whittaker weighed in successfully to make the 185-pound title bout official.
What time does UFC 243 start in the UK?
The first fight on the card is scheduled to start at 11.45pm BST.
The action will then run into the early hours of Sunday morning.
Whittaker vs Adesanya is expected to get underway around 5.30am.
Live TV coverage and streaming is available through BT Sport in the UK.
