Conor McGregor coach to break silence on Khabib UFC 229 brawl and next fight TODAY
CONOR MCGREGOR's head coach John Kavanagh is expected to address the unsavoury scenes after UFC 229's main event tomorrow evening.
McGregor suffered a fourth-round submission defeat to lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A mass brawl broke out after two men believed to be members of Nurmagomedov's team started trading blows with a visibly dejected McGregor, one of whom attacked 'The Notorious' from behind.
The chaos continued when Nurmagomedov scaled the Octagon and attempted to drop-kick McGregor's jiu-jitsu coach Dillon Danis.
Team McGregor have yet to comment on the ruckus, which overshadowed one of the best fight cards in recent history.
But Kavanagh will more than likely do so tomorrow evening when he appears on The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast, in which he's promised to discuss McGregor's next fight.
"Tomorrow, I'll be on @joerogan to talk about the fight and what's next," he tweeted.
"Plus @LOCKloaded on to reveal some of the secrets of how fighters drop weight quickly and to talk about some interesting projects coming up."
Defeat to Nurmagomedov was the fourth of McGregor's mixed martial arts career and the fourth time he's been forced to tap out.

The Russian's actions have been widely condemned by many in the MMA world, with some fans calling for him to be stripped of the title.
UFC president Dana White has refused to rule out such a scenario happening, saying: “No, it’s not 100 percent. The thing is, we’re regulated by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, or whatever state we’re in, right?
"The Nevada State Athletic Commission is going to go after him, I’m sure pretty hard.
"He doesn’t have to worry about me right now, he has to worry about Nevada.”
Nurmagomedov apologised moment of madness in the post-fight press conference but was quick to defend his antics.
"First of all, I want to say sorry to the athletic commission, Nevada and sorry to Vegas," Nurmagomedov said. "This is not my best side.
"I'm a human being, but I don't understand how people can talk about jumping on the cage when he talks about my religion, he talks about my county, he talks about my father and he comes to Brooklyn and he broke the bus and almost killed a couple of people. What about this?
"Why are people talking about my jumping over the cage. I don't understand.
"You cannot talk about religion, you cannot talk about nations, you cannot talk about this stuff. This is for me very important."
UFC: Khabib apologises for causing mass BRAWL after win
Meanwhile, the man at the side of it all - Dillon Danis - has hit social media for the first time following the melee.
Danis was the man from McGregor’s camp Khabib went for in the initial brawl on Sunday morning.
UFC fighter Rafael dos Anjos blasted him on Sunday, tweeting: “This guy Dillan Dennis (sic) he is nobody, he just suck Conor’s balls and hide behind him, that’s his job.
“He never going to make it, be on Conor’s corner is his career highlight.”
And Danis has hit back, replying: “let’s fight then f**k commissions let’s meet up and fight you p**** little b**** you give every fight you no heart rat.”
