Conor McGregor warning sent to Khabib Nurmagomedov
Jon Jones has warned Khabib Nurmagomedov not to underestimate Conor McGregor’s wrestling at UFC 229.
“I believe that Conor McGregor has wrestling,” Jones said during an appearance on Allow Me to Interrupt. “I don’t think it’s at the level of Khabib.
“I believe Khabib will get the majority of his takedowns that he goes for but Conor, he’s an athlete. He shouldn’t be underestimated.”

Conor McGregor receives message from Khabib Nurmagomedov’s father
Nurmagomedov’s father Abdulmanap has issued a chilling response to McGregor’s Instagram taunts.
“Mentally they can’t get (under our skin). In that aspect we are standing firm,” Abdulamanap told Russian MMA journalist Azamat Bostanov (via RT).
“We are even letting certain things pass. But we are not forgiving anything. The cage and the fight are still ahead (for Khabib and Conor).”
Conor McGregor - Coach discusses potential retirement at UFC 229
McGregor's striking coach Owen Roddy doesn't foresee 'The Notorious' retiring from mixed martial arts after his UFC 229 showdown with Nurmagomedov.
“I don’t know…I don’t think [he will retire],” Roddy told Peter Carroll on the latest episode of Eurobash.
“I don’t look into the future to see what’s happening. Conor’s mentality hasn’t changed at all, so I don’t know.”
He added: “I always say, it depends on what fights are available, I think, for Conor.
“As I said, if there is another big super fight and Conor feels like he would enjoy it, then he’ll do it. If the fans want it and stuff like that, I think Conor will take it.”
McGregor, 30, hasn't set foot inside the Octagon since claiming the lightweight title nearly two years ago in the main event of UFC 205, where he became the promotion's first simultaneous two-weight world champion.
