Conor McGregor has sent a message to fans ahead of his long-awaited return to the Octagon, which will see him take on the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov.
In the early hours of Thursday morning, McGregor posted a video from his UFC 205 bout with Eddie Alvarez to his Instagram page.
The accompanying caption read: “I know you’s have missed me.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s head coach Javier Mendez has claimed McGregor has the best striking in the UFC.
“To me [Conor McGregor] is the best standup guy in the whole UFC, in my opinion,” the AKA head coach said during an appearance on the Eurobash podcast.
“He’s got incredible relaxation, he approaches it like a scientist, he knows how to read you, he knows how to bait you…he knows how to put you right into that trap and before you know it you’re caught sleeping.
“He’s a master, in my opinion, on the fighting arts and he’s also got a ground game — he’s good everywhere. I’m not sleeping on how great he is. I’m prepared for everything but he is a great fighter.”

Grappling phenom Ayub Magamadov has denied teaming up with McGregor to train him for his showdown with Nurmagomedov.
“I’m not a coach and do not join the team,” Magamadov told MMA Team Dagestan. "Jiu-jitsu this is what I make a living (from).
“I was in Dublin and I was offered sparring with Conor, I agreed to test myself.
“I’m not looking for hype or pr. I will always be on the side of my brothers and people. I’m with you brothers.”
