Roger Federer shunned by Wimbledon organisers in favour of Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic
ROGER FEDERER is not on Centre Court for his quarter-final clash with Kevin Anderson tomorrow.
Wimbledon organisers have instead given Novak Djokovic the honour of getting the men’s quarter-finals underway on the main stage when he takes on Kei Nishikori.
Rafael Nadal then follows with his blockbuster bout against Juan Martin del Potro.
Federer has been relegated to Court 1 for the first time since he took on Gilles Simon in the last eight in 2015.
The No 1 seed is followed by the final quarter-final tie between Milos Raonic and John Isner.
Djokovic said he was "hopeful" of playing on Centre Court and his wish has now been granted as his promotion comes at Federer's expense.
The Serbian was booed by the Wimbledon supporters during his fourth-round battle with Kyle Edmund.
But he is hoping to return and win over the All England Club faithful.
Meanwhile, Federer will start at 1pm on Court 1 and will face the winner of Raonic and Isner in the semi-finals.
