ROGER FEDERER is no stranger to being admired for his tennis talent by fans across the world but it seems even his fellow pros are keen on imitating him on court too.
Nick Kyrgios PROMISES to do Roger Federer impression
Roger Federer is currently competing at the Halle Open following his Stuttgart Open triumph last week.
On route to beating Milos Raonic in the final, the Swiss overcame Nick Kyrgios in the semis to put himself back on top of the world rankings.
And it seems his Australian opponent learned a thing a or two from their encounter.
Krygios is taking part at Queen’s and before his Round of 16 victory over Kyle Edmund, he took part in a Q&A session online.
The 23-year-old was tasked with answering random questions and Federer’s name came up when asked who he could best impersonate.
I can do Roger’s serve to an absolute tee so maybe I’ll do that another time.
“Who is your best impression? Do it,” Kyrgios said as he read the question.
“I need to be on the court for this. I do a really good Roger.
“I can do Roger’s serve to an absolute tee so maybe I’ll do that another time.
“Next question. I can’t do any impression now.”
Despite deciding against doing the impression on camera, fans may get the chance to see Kyrgios showcase his talents at The Boodles next week.
It will be Kyrgios’ last grass court event before he joins Federer at Wimbledon next month.
The 36-year-old is biding for a record ninth Wimbledon title and fans will be hoping he comes up against Kyrgios in the draw so they have a chance of seeing the Australian’s impression.
