NICK KYRGIOS has explained his ‘streakiness’ on serve ahead of his clash with Kyle Edmund at Queen’s.
Kyrgios knocked out Andy Murray in the opening round with a thrilling win over three sets.
The Australian said he felt “awkward” beating the former world No 1 on his comeback from injury and in front of his home crowd.
But the 23-year-old is now looking forward to facing another Brit in Edmund in round two.
However, Kyrgios has always struggled with inconsistency on serve – but he does not seem too fussed about the issue heading into his next match.

“I have been doing that for a long time,” Kyrgios said.

“I mean, Kyle's been playing great. I played juniors with him.
“I always knew he was going to be pretty good. He had a really good forehand.

“I never really get surprised when he does well. He can play on this stuff, as well. He has a good backhand, big serve.”
Kyrgios and Edmund are battling it out to face reigning Queen’s champion Feliciano Lopez in the quarter-finals.
