Queen’s order of play: Thursday schedule including Novak Djokovic and Kyle Edmund
NOVAK DJOKOVIC headlines Queen’s order of play for Thursday while British No 1 Kyle Edmund is also in action.
Djokovic is really beginning to find his form of old and he will be looking for his first ATP win since coming back from injury.
The Serbian has been given the prime slot of third on Centre Court when he takes on No 2 seed Grigor Dimitrov.
Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares get the day underway as they are in doubles action against Marcus Daniell and Wesley Koolhof.
Edmund follows as he faces Andy Murray’s conqueror Nick Kyrgios before Julien Benneteau against Adrian Mannarino wraps up proceedings.
The pick of the ties is the heavyweight battle between Djokovic and Dimitrov – and the former world No 1 is looking forward to the test.
“Right now it's all about tennis, all about improving, and getting on a high level,” Djokovic said.
“So a match against Dimitrov obviously is a very good challenge for both of us, especially me at this time, with not too many matches under my belt in general this year or last 12 months.
"So it's quite important. He's one of the best players in the world and loves playing on grass. I think it's his preferred surface. He has won here.”
