Roger Federer reveals shock tournament plans ahead of Wimbledon
ROGER FEDERER has revealed he could skip tournaments after Wimbledon.
Federer returned to world No 1 on Saturday after his victory over Nick Kyrgios in the semi-finals of the Stuttgart Open.
And he clinched the Mercedes Cup with a straight-sets win over Milos Raonic on Sunday to provide him with his 98th ATP Tour title.
The 20-time Grand Slam skipped the whole of the clay court swing of the season to keep himself fresh for the grass part of the campaign.
And the 36-year-old, who will be bidding to win a 10th title at the Gerry Weber Open in Halle this week, could skip tournaments after Wimbledon.

When asked about his short-term plans, he said: “I am playing next week, I am playing Wimbledon.”
However, Federer went on to reveal he could skip the Cinccinati Masters and Rogers Cup in Montreal.
He added: “After that we will see about Canada.
“My season sort of starts from now.

“I hope that I can play a full season, a full schedule. I will just play what I can.
“The more I play, the more healthy I am, the more is possible.
“The last weeks have been very exciting and these matches, playing for World No. 1, do not come around that often.”
Federer appeared to be hampered by injury when he lost in the Rogers Cup final last year against Alexander Zverev.
