Federer has worn Nike apparel since the start of his career and together have designed a host of memorable on-court clothing.
In 2008, Federer signed a 10-year deal with Nike worth more than $10million a season.
The partnership has also allowed Federer to collaborate on special shoes with his hero and basketball icon Michael Jordan.
But reports in Switzerland suggest the 36-year-old is on the brink of signing a lucrative deal with Japanese brand Uniqlo worth $30m (£22.3m) a year.

World No 21 Kei Nishikori is currently Uniqlo's most prominent ambassador although Novak Djokovic has also worn the brand.
Federer is set to return to tennis next week at the Stuggart Open after not playing a competitive match since March.
And ahead of a practice session this evening, Federer arrived wearing a special edition Nike RF20 t-shirt, shorts and trainers.
The 20-time Grand Slam champion decided to skip the entire clay court season to stay fresh for the grass campaign.
In July, Federer will be aiming to win a ninth Wimbledon title.
