Rafael Nadal weakness revealed during French Open final against Dominic Thiem
DOMINIC THIEM’s chances of winning the French Open final would “jump dramatically” if he could force Rafael Nadal onto his backhand.
That is the opinion of two-time French Open champion Jim Courier.
Courier is working as a pundit and commentator for the tournament at Ronald Garros.
The American was analysing how Thiem could stop Nadal from winning his 11th title at the Paris venue this afternoon.
And Courier said Thiem had a better chance of overcoming the odds if he focused on hitting to Nadal’s backhand.

“The forehand return from the deuce court however, this is a key shot.
“If he can hit it deep or short off the court and get it into Nadal’s backhand, your percentage chances of beating Nadal jump dramatically.

“He would have a better chance to get in some service games.”
