CAROLINE GARCIA burst out in tears during her must-win WTA Finals clash with Elina Svitolina this afternoon.

Garcia, 27, lost the first set on a tie-break before having her serve broken early in the second.
The French star, who is coached by her dad, went back to the chair at the changeover and started crying as her end-of-season dreams crumbled.

Former world no.5 Jo Durie, commentating for BT Sport, said: "I thought she had lost the plot.
"We saw her crying at the changeover with her dad there."

But she rediscovered her cool, breaking immediately back before taking the set 6-3 to takeit into a decider.
Durie said: "She got it all out her system and she fought hard. I thought Svitolina came off focus and let Garcia have a couple of points here and there.
"She missed a couple of serves, lost a couple of points and it cost her."
Caroline Wozniacki earlier crushed Simona Halep 6-0 6-2 in the first round robin group game of the day.
