Wimbledon 2017: Marin Cilic breaks down in TEARS with injury during men's final
MARIN CILIC broke down in tears during the Wimbledon final against Roger Federer.
Federer won the first set 6-3 and broke early in the second set to take three game lead.
But during the changeover, Cilic appeared to break down and sat with a towel draped over his head talking to his trainer and a doctor as struggled to compose himself.
The Croatian was given a standing ovation by the Wimbledon crowd as he got back to his feet.
But a medical timeout was called at the end of the set, during which Cilic had strapping removed and reapplied on his foot.
Boris Becker, working for the BBC, believes a blister was the cause of his tears: "We've got an explanation of what went wrong.
"He had a huge blister on his foot and couldn't walk anymore. I hope they've fixed it.
"I just hope for the sake of the spectators the final will be more of a match now."
